As Vice Chancellor, Finance/Administration and CFO for the Board of Governors, Tim Jones oversees the budget and facilities responsibilities of the State University System and personnel and administrative functions of the Board of Governors’ General Office and serves as the Chancellor’s fiscal liaison with the Legislature.
Mr. Jones came to the Office of the Chancellor in 1999 as the assistant budget director. Previously, he worked in the fiscal office of the Florida Department of Transportation. He has also worked as a director with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and a tax auditor and supervisor for the Missouri Department of Revenue.
A native of Missouri, Mr. Jones earned an associate’s degree in Accounting and Data Processing from Truman State University, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia College and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
