As Senior Vice Chancellor, Finance/Administration and CFO for the Board of Governors, Tim Jones oversees the budget, facilities, and data collection responsibilities of the State University System and human resources, information technology, and administrative functions of the Board of Governors’ General Office. He also serves as the Chancellor’s fiscal liaison with the Legislature and Governor.
Mr. Jones came to the Office of the Chancellor in 1999 as the assistant budget director. Previously, he worked in the fiscal office of the Florida Department of Transportation. He has also worked as a director with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and as a corporate tax auditor and supervisor with the Missouri Department of Revenue.
A native of Missouri, Mr. Jones earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia College and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
