PENSACOLA, Fla. — The Florida Board of Governors will hold a meeting at the University of West Florida from Wednesday, March 25, to Thursday, March 26. Highlights of the meeting agenda include:
Campus Safety and Student Success Committee
- Receive updates on campus safety and security
- Receive updates on current food pantry services offered at System institutions
Academic Excellence and Economic Prosperity Committee
- Receive updates on the System’s research metrics and rankings
Audit and Compliance Committee
- Receive updates on the audit results for the performance-based funding and the preeminence and emerging preeminence data integrity processes
Taskforce on Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity
- Discuss opportunities and risks with artificial intelligence
Strategic Planning Committee
- Receive updates on financial aid and programs of strategic emphasis
Academic Affairs Committee
- Consider approval of Public Notice of Intent to Amend Board of Governors Regulation 6.017
Facilities Committee
- Authorize Florida State University to enter into a long-term contract, as part of a Transfer of Assets Agreement with the City of Tallahassee, providing for the transfer of the real property and personal property of Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare
Budget and Finance Committee
- Consider approval of the Public Notices of Intent to Amend Board of Governors Regulations 9.013, 9.015, and 18.002
- Consider approval of the estimated 2026-2027 operating budgets for auxiliary facilities that have bond covenants requiring Board approval
- Consider approval of Florida Gulf Coast University’s 2025-2026 Student Success Plan monitoring report and authorize the release of $4 million in performance-based funding
- Consider University of Florida’s Market Tuition Rate Proposal
Full Board Meeting
- Consider confirming the contract extension for Dr. Richard McCullough as the president of Florida State University
- Receive updates on presidential searches
