TAMPA, Fla.—The Florida Board of Governors will hold a meeting at the University of South Florida on Thursday, November 6. Highlights of the meeting agenda include:
Academic and Research Excellence Committee
- Consider approval of the 2025 Foreign Countries of Concern Report.
 
Academic and Student Affairs Committee
- Receive an update on the 2025 SUS Safety Summit.
 - Consider approval of Public Notices of Intent to Amend Regulations 8.011 and 10.015.
 - Consider approval of two new PhD programs.
 
Strategic Planning Committee
- Consider approval of new SUS 30[1] metric goals.
 - Consider approval of the SUS 30 Areas of Expertise and Iconic Companies list.
 
Budget and Finance Committee
- Consider approval of the Public Notice of Intent to Amend Regulation 9.007.
 - Consider approval of University 2025-2026 Carryforward Spending Plans.
 - Consider approval of changes to the Performance-Based Funding Model.
 
Facilities Committee
- Consider approval of the 2025-2026 University Fixed Capital Outlay Budgets.
 
Nomination and Governance Committee
- Consideration of university trustee appointments
 
Full Board Meeting
- Consider confirming the reappointment of Dr. Alexander Cartwright as the president of the University of Central Florida.
 - Receive an update on presidential searches.
 - Election of Chair and Vice Chair for the Florida Board of Governors.
 - Consider approval of Public Notices of Approval of Amendment to Regulations 6.001, 6.002, 7.005, 7.006, 7.008, 8.003, and 9.013.
 - Consider approval of Public Notice of Approval to Repeal Regulation 7.007.
