Strategic Planning and Budget & Finance Committee: The Board will consider approval of the 2023 New College of Florida Accountability, Business & Student Success Plans.
Strategic Planning Committee: The Board will consider approval of the 2023 System Accountability Plan and the university proposals for receiving Linking Industry to Nursing Education (LINE) funds. They will hear an overview of the Prepping Institutions, Programs, Employers, and Learners through Incentives for Nursing Education (PIPELINE) spending plans. The Board will also hear updates on Accreditation and Programs of Strategic Emphasis.
Academic and Student Affairs Committee: Adoption of Board of Governors Regulation 8.015, Workforce Education Partnership Program, designed to assist students who enroll at state universities and are employed by a private employer participating in the program. The Board will also hear an update on the state universities’ progress toward implementing the recommendations from the Civil Discourse Report approved by the Board in January 2022.
Facilities Committee: The Board will consider approval of the 2024-2025 State University System Fixed Capital Outlay Legislative Budget Request, including the Preliminary Selection Group of 35 Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) projects, as well as two authorizations to Issue Debt by the University of South Florida for an on-campus stadium and the University of North Florida for an honors college student residence hall.
Budget and Finance Committee: The Board will consider approval of the 2024-2025 operating Legislative Budget Request for the State University System. Additionally, the Board will review the performance-based funding model for potential enhancements.
Nomination and Governance Committee: The Board will consider the appointment of university trustees.
Full Board: The Board will hear an update on the presidential searches.

The Board of Governors’ meeting will be held at the University of Florida in Gainesville, with committee meetings scheduled to begin on August 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. The full Board meeting is scheduled to begin on August 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Meeting times are subject to change.
