Eugene J. Kovacs directs the staff responsible for maintaining and enhancing the State University System management information systems, applications, and technical support. He provides guidance and oversight regarding IT strategic planning and budgeting, as well as the development and implementation of related Board of Governors policies.
Mr. Kovacs comes to Information Resource Management from the Florida College System where he was Bureau Chief of the Community College and Technical Center Management Information Systems. He has extensive experience in the management of information technology for higher education and state governments.
Reared in the Pensacola area, Mr. Kovacs studied at the University of West Florida, where he earned a master’s degree in Instructional Technology.
