TALLAHASSEE, Fla.— The Chair of the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, the Honorable Cristina E. Groschel of Coral Springs, announces that the results of the July 2026 General Bar Examination are approved for release by the Supreme Court of Florida.
There were 2,250 first-time applicants who took the full Bar Examination on July 28-29, 2026, in Tampa.[1] There were 1,693 first-time full Bar Exam applicants who passed the July test. This represents a 75.2 percent passage rate among those test takers.
The Court approved 1,700 candidates for admission to The Florida Bar. Chief Justice John D. Couriel announced they may be sworn in as members of The Florida Bar. Exam passage is but one step required before individuals may be admitted to The Florida Bar. Because some of those steps are not yet complete, as well as the multiple ways individuals may take different portions of the exam, the number of candidates approved for admission may be smaller, or larger, than the number of first-time test-takers who passed the exam.
The Supreme Court of Florida releases the following Bar examination statistical information. These results reflect first-time, full-exam (Part A and Part B) test takers in Tampa on July 28-29, 2026. Results of any score impounded by the Supreme Court of Florida are not included.
All System law schools have a first-time passage rate of more than 79%, with Florida State University College of Law achieving the highest first-time bar passage rate among all institutions at 91.8%, and Florida A&M University College of Law improving by more than 3% over last year’s July exam.

[1] The Bar Examination consists of multiple parts, Part A and Part B of the General Bar Examination and the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination. Some applicants take only one part of the exam. Applicants repeating the exam need only take portions they have not passed previously. Applicants may also transfer a timely passing MBE score from another jurisdiction and need only take Part A of the General Bar Examination.
