Diane McCain oversees and coordinates activities involving the universities, policy makers and education consumers for the Office of the Chancellor and Board of Governors.
McCain has extensive experience in legislative and public affairs, working in both the private and government sectors for more than 20 years. She has served as the CEO for a non profit board and directed public affairs and communications for the Florida Department of Education, The Coca-Cola Company and the Office of the United States Attorney. In addition, she is the author of two constitutional amendments and served as a senior legislative staff member in the Florida Legislature. McCain is involved with effectively communicating the value of higher education and the contributions made by Florida’s eleven institutions. She also assists with official publications and information for the public and government bodies.
McCain has served as an adjunct instructor for public affairs and media law. Her work in state and federal government affairs has been recognized by the United States Attorney General and several professional organizations. A fourth generation Floridian, she is a graduate of Florida State University and attended the University of Miami School of Law.
