DEFINITION:                                                                     
   A calculated rate-of-pay which is used to equate the rate of                 
   12 month faculty employees to a scale equivalent to the rate of              
   9 month faculty employees.                                                   
   This amount is used when grouping faculty employees with similar             
   class codes, etc., for the purposes of providing averages or                 
   other arithmetically derived data, when commitments are of                   
   different lengths.                                                           

ALGORITHM:                                                                      
   For a faculty position with a commitment of 12 months (Months                
   Committed (01752) = 12) the following formula is used to generate            
   a 9 Month Equivalent Rate:                                                   
   Using the resource commitment table:                                         
   (Current Year Rate (01017) / Person Years (01176) * .75 (3/4)                
   = 9 Month Equivalent Rate (01741)
