CODING INSTRUCTIONS:
This item is to be coded after an assessment by physical plant
staff.
This item is required for buildings which meet the following
conditions:
1. Building Ownership (10021) is equal to 1, 2, or 3 (Owned).
2. Building Status (10012) is equal to 1 (Permanent).
3. The building was constructed 20 or more years ago. This
number is derived by subtracting Building Contruction Year
(10019) from the Term Year (01444).
4. Building Budget Entity (10055) is equal to 1, 4 or 5 (E&G,
Health Center, or IFAS).
For buildings which have not been accessed by a physical plant
staff, the item should be coded '0'.
TABLE VALUES:
0 Building condition has not been accessed.
1 Satisfactory
System is in acceptable condition with normal
maintenance.
2 Renewal A
Needs minimal capital renewal.
The approximate cost is not greater than 25 percent of
the estimated replacement of the system.
3 Renewal B
Needs more than minimal capital renewal.
The approximate cost is greater than 25 percent, but
not greater than 50 percent of the estimated replace-
ment of the system.
4 Renewal C
Requires major capital renewal.
The approximate cost is greater than 50 percent of the
replacement cost of the system.
5 Replacement
System should be replaced.
