CODING INSTRUCTIONS:                                                            
   The value coded here will indicate the personnel and fiscal rules            
   under which the commitment to an employee is governed.                       
   Code 'SE' can be used for non-faculty employees where the period             
   of the commitment or the continuation of the commitment is inde-             
   terminate for reporting purposes. This is not a supplemental                 
   type commitment.                                                             
   The codes CS, FP, VA, DS, SS and the numeric codes are classified            
   as supplemental.                                                             
   The Chancellor, BOG Office will control the meaning associated               
   with all alpha codes.  If the universities need to code types of             
   commitment other than those established, they must use numeric               
   codes.  Any reporting done with the numeric codes will group them            
   as "Other."
