DEFINITION:                                                                     
   A flag to indicate that the student and the instructor are                   
   separated by time during some or all of the instruction.

CODING INSTRUCTIONS:                                                            
   If the course is conducted with students meeting at regularly                
   scheduled times for 75% or more of planned instructional                     
   activities (site or time dependent, group-based courses) then                
   code 'S' (synchronous).                                                      
   If the course is conducted without scheduled space or time                   
   requirements for 75% or more of planned instructional activities             
   then code 'A' (asynchronous).                                                
   If the course is conducted with both synchronous and aynchronous             
   instructional activities when neither mode exceeds 75% of                    
   planned instructional activities then code 'M' (mixed).
