DEFINITION:                                                                     
   A code to indicate type and/or period of university submission.              
   The value controls which previous diagnostic file is used as             <   
   the basis for the counts of differences in the Summary Statistics        <   
   Report. 'L' compares against the previous January submission.            <   
   'J' compares against the previous June submission. 'O', 'F', 'R'         <   
   compare against the prior year submission of the same type.              <   
   The value also controls whether person years are rounded to 2            <   
   significant digits ('L', 'J', 'S') or 4 significant digits (all          <   
   other values).                                                           <   
   The value also controls which edits are used (SCD or University          <   
   Employee/OPS).                                                           <
