CODING INSTRUCTIONS:
Term Degree Granted is used to indicate that a degree (reported
in element 01081, Degree - Level Granted) was awarded by the
reporting institution in a term previous to the current reporting
term. If it is left blank and a degree was awarded to the
student then the edit program will generate the term value coded
on the control card into this field.
On the Hours To Degree File, the date should be confined to the
academic year being reported.
On the Student Data Course File and the Teacher Education File,
the date reported should be confined to the current academic year
if the Term Identifier(01051) is equal to Fall and Spring Term.
For Summer Term submissions the date should be confined to the
current summer term or any term within the previous academic year
When Level Degree Granted(01081) has a valid degree and Term
Degree Granted is equal to spaces then Reporting Term will be
generated into Term Degree Granted. If Term Degree Granted is
coded, it cannot be greater than the reporting term. This
element should be equal to spaces when Level Degree Granted has
a value of 'N' or space.
On the Retention Late Degree File, the date may be used to report
degrees, granted in previous academic years, which were not
reported on the Student Data Course File. Degrees reported in
this manner will be used in Retention reporting only.
