DEFINITION:                                                                     
   The date the employee began working with the state in a salaried             
   position. If the employee has no break-in-service, (pay plans                
   differ in definition of break-in-service), the date would be the             
   same as the Date of Hire.  If the employee has a break-in-service            
   the date stored will be the most recent date the employee began              
   working for the state.
