INTENT:
SUS Retention Study
Student Right-To-Know Reporting
DEFINITION:
An indicator which establishes the full-time/part-time status
of a student at an institution.
ALGORITHM:
A student is considered to be full-time for the term if the
following conditions are met. <
1) for fall or spring term -
The student is an undergraduate (1060 = l, u) and the Current
Term Course Load is equal to or greater than 12 hours.
The student is a graduate or unclassified student
(1060 = a, b, n) and Current Term Course Load is equal to or
greater than 9 hours.
2) for summer term -
The student is an undergraduate (1060 = l, u) and the Current
Term Course Load is equal to or greater than 8 hours.
The student is a graduate or unclassified student
and Current Term Course Load is equal to or
greater than 6 hours.
3) for SUS reporting
The student will be considered full-time if he/she is
full-time during the first term enrolled, regardless of the
student's full-time/part-time status in future terms.
Information concerning the full-time status of the student
is derived from Current Term Course Load (01063) and is
stored on the SUS Retention Data Base Cumulative Record.
