INTENT:
Allocation Of Graduate Fee Waivers
DEFINITION:
The waiver hours generated by graduate students
based on stipend portion of effort and the number of hours
which the student worked during the term.
CODING INSTRUCTIONS:
Graduate waiver hours is program generated by the Student
Data Course File edit program.
ALGORITHM:
Graduate waiver hours is program generated from the following
elements - Portion of Effort (01404), Number of Hours Worked
in Reporting Term (01406) and Summer Session Flag (01405).
For fall and spring terms the student must have a .25 stipend
appointment (01404 > or = .25) and must have worked for 150
hours during the term (01406 > or = 150), in order to
generate 9 waiver hours. Total hours generated cannot exceed
9 (nine) hours.
For summer term if the student has a stipend appointment of .25
(01404 > or = .25) and has worked for 100 hours(01406 > or = 100)
during a long summer session (01405 = 0) then 6 waiver hours
will be generated.
For a summer session which is less than 10 weeks (01405 ne 0)
3 waiver hours will be generated if the appointment time is
.25 (01404 > or = .25) and the number of hours worked during
the term is 50 (01406 > or = 50). Six waiver hours will be
generated if the student has two short summer session
appointments which meet this criteria. No more than 6 (six)
waiver hours will be generated for summer term for each
graduate student.
