   ance.

CODING INSTRUCTIONS:                                                            
   This is the amount used by the Financial Aid Office in                       
   determining the financial need for need-based aid.  For those                
   students not eligible for need-based aid, code 9999999.                      
   This should be equal to the cost of attendance for the number of             
   semesters the student attended minus the expected family contri-             
   bution for the number of semesters the student attended.                     
   The number of semesters used in the calculation for both cost of             
   attendance and expected family contribution should be the same.
