FAMU's Department of Music is traveling south on a tour to teach high school students about hazing.
School officials say FAMU students in the music school came up with the idea.
They'll take a trip to several Florida schools and present anti-hazing workshops and look for some future talent.
Auditions will also be held for music scholarships that will go to qualified students.
School leaders say the goal is to teach young people about 'excellence with caring.'
"I'm especially proud being that the students came up with the idea. They wanted to get their message across and they wanted to help in establishing the programs that we have on campus as well as this anti-hazing message that we have," said Bryan Smith, the special assistant to the president for anti-hazing.
The tour makes its first stop Friday at Oakridge High School in Orlando.
They'll continue on to south Florida schools and finish the tour on February 23.
