Florida Atlantic University receives nearly $2 million from Florida Board of Governors

Florida Atlantic University was one of 11 schools awarded money for having a successful graduating class, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
The university received nearly $2 million from the Florida Board of Governors. In total, $20 million was split up between the universities who ranked high in the performance bonus program.
-Percentage of graduates employed or continuing their education within one year
-Median average full-time wages of undergraduates one year after graduation
-The average cost to the university per undergraduate
Statistics show that 69 percent of FAU graduates were employed or continued education after a year of graduating.
$34,808 was the median full time salary for graduates after a year of graduating.
$33,117 was the average cost of tuition per undergrad to the university.
University of Central Florida and University of South Florida had the best overall scores.
Board of Governors plan to expand the program by adding more metrics and reward $50 million over the next several years.
