The UCF chapter of Sigma Chi fraternity has been suspended amid hazing concerns, a university spokesman said Saturday night.
Fraternity members are accused of disruptive conduct, alcohol-related misconduct and hazing, according to a letter sent to the fraternity president Friday.
"UCF has issued an interim suspension to the Sigma Chi fraternity chapter following a preliminary review of hazing and alcohol-related allegations," spokesman Grant Heston said. "We will conduct a thorough, timely and fair review of the allegations."
Until the suspension is lifted, all fraternity activities have been canceled. Sigma Chi was put on probation in September 2011 for not taking steps to prevent underage drinking at fraternity events. That probation ended recently.
