Consultant selected for ‘Online University Study after
open bid process, scoring at Board of Governors
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—An evaluation team comprised of online learning experts and staff at the Board of Governors conducted the comprehensive review and scoring this month to select the company that will present several options to expand the number of university graduates through the use of online degree programs. The winning bid was secured by The Parthenon Group, a globally renown company in the field.
The scoring sheet and agency decision, with the full list of responders, is posted here. The original bid document with detailed specifications, eligibility and tasks is posted here. (The Board of Governors is a constitutional body that has a shared-services agreement for this aspect of procurement with the Florida Dept. of Education.)
There were seven bids timely received in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP) earlier this summer.
The $270,000 funding for this contract and consulting work was appropriated to the Board of Governors by the 2012 Legislature and signed into law.
More information regarding this initiative will be announced in the coming weeks.
