Kim Wilmath, Communications Director
As communications director, Kim Wilmath helps ensure that the State University System's complex policy issues are presented in a clear and consistent manner. She serves as the Board of Governors' media liaison and spokeswoman, and she oversees the Board's social media outreach.
Prior to joining the Board office in 2012, Kim was a reporter for the Tampa Bay Times, Florida's largest newspaper. There, she covered everything from crime and courts to regional news features and state politics. She most recently was the Times' higher education reporter, where she became closely familiar with issues facing the public universities in Florida and across the country. She has also written for a number of other organizations, including her alma mater, the University of Florida.
