Jon Rogers, Director, Academic and Student Affairs
Dr. Jon Rogers guides administration of academic and student affairs issues, with emphasis on teacher education, review of academic programs and instituting standards of performance and accountability.
Dr. Rogers joined the Board of Governors staff after several years' employment with to the Council for Education Policy, Research and Improvement, where he was a chief legislative analyst. Previously, he had worked for eleven years as a policy director with the Florida Postsecondary Education Planning Commission.
He earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Counseling from East Carolina University and completed a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Florida State University.
A native of New Jersey, Dr. Rogers, also had an extensive career in student affairs administration at universities in Georgia and North Carolina.
