Randy Goin, Jr., Chief of Staff
As Chief of Staff, Randy Goin, Jr. provides leadership and oversight for the Chancellor's office and serves as a member of the Executive Management Team - offering counsel and support to the Chancellor and the Board of Governors. He works with university, government and business leaders to ensure timely advancement of key Board initiatives.
Randy joined the Board office in 2009 after serving as Chief of Staff at Florida Atlantic University, where he worked closely with then-president Frank Brogan to reshape the university and its organizational structure in order to increase focus on top priorities. He served as a conduit between the administration and the university trustees - enhancing board relations, communications and operations.
In 1991, Randy launched his public affairs career in the private sector and later moved into management roles in higher education. He served as Associate Vice President for University Communications and Marketing at Florida Atlantic University, where he helped build the University's communications organization and reposition the institution's brand.
A native of Ohio, Randy grew up in Texas and moved to South Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Master of Arts degree with a concentration in corporate and political communication from Florida Atlantic University.
