Institutional Research
Institutional Research responds to information requests regarding Florida's twelve public universities, provides data resources for public and internal uses, conducts research and analysis of issues that help guide policy decisions, and provides data to support Board staff. The staff acts as liaison between Information Resource Management staff, who directly work with the universities to update statewide data resources, and the Board policy staff to facilitate sound policy decisions based on relevant and accurate data. In addition to responding to ad hoc data requests, the office provides the following routine data and reports:
- Reports to the Governor's office and legislature on admissions, enrollment and accountability measures.
- Data for the Board of Governors on enrollment plans for budgeting and degree plans for strategic planning.
- National and regional surveys such as State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO), Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), Southern Regional Education Board (SREB), and Encyclopedia Britannica.
- SUS Fact Books.
- On-line and interactive data tools on enrollment and degrees awarded.
