Dr. Kathy Robinson, received a diploma in nursing from St. Anthony School of Nursing, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She subsequently earned a B.S. from Oklahoma City University, an M.S. from Texas Woman's University, and her Ph.D. from the University of Florida. Prior to becoming a University Professor, Dr. Robinson practiced as a critical care nurse, a clinical nurse specialist, and a Director of Critical Care Nursing. Her research interests include family caregiving and the history of theoretical development in nursing. Dr. Robinson joined the faculty of the University of North Florida in August, 1993. She has received outstanding teaching and service rewards at UNF and served as the President of its Faculty Association for two years. She also served on the UNF Board of Trustees during her term as president. Dr. Robinson currently serves as the Chair of the Advisory Council of Faculty Senates of the State University System of Florida, and, as such, has been appointed to the Board of Governors.
