Morteza “Mori” Hosseini, Vice Chair
Morteza “Mori” Hosseini, of Daytona Beach, began his two-year term as Vice Chair of the Board of Governors in January 2012.
Hosseini is the Chairman and CEO of Intervest Construction, Inc. (ICI Homes ®), the company he has owned for more than 30 years.
He has served in several leadership capacities at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a private university, as a member of its Board of Trustees and serves on the Board of Directors for International Speedway
Corporation. He previously served on the Halifax Hospital Medical Center Board of Commissioners for two terms and was elected Chairman for his second term.
He received an aeronautical engineering degree from the Chelsea College of Aeronautical Engineering in London, England.
He then attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he received both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Studies and Master of Business Administration.
Hosseini has been the Chair of the Trustee Nominating Committee, one of the standing committees of the Board of Governors, helping oversee the interviewing and selection of dozens of appointees by the
Board of Governors to the 11 universities' Boards of Trustees in the State University System. His seven-year term on the Board ends in 2017.
